Letter to Our Stakeholders
It is with great pleasure that we present on behalf of Cartotecnica Postumia our first Sustainability Report, a document that testifies to the commitment we have put into promoting responsible and sustainable practices in our business in the packaging sector.
The objective of the Report is to describe the path that we are undertaking on ESG (Environment, Social and Governance) issues that we consider fundamental and to illustrate the results achieved so far, as well as the objectives we have set ourselves.
We are increasingly aware that business cannot be done without considering environmental and social impacts, risks and opportunities. For this reason since a few years we have included sustainability among our strategic objectives, setting appropriate KPIs and starting to measure ESG indicators also with the help of the model proposed by the Graphic Paper Federation to which we belong. We were among the first companies in the Federation and in the supply chain to adopt the model and for this reason last year we were awarded the “Best ESG Performance Award” during the Press Oscars.
In a very difficult year like the one just ended, characterized by strong tensions in the raw materials markets and an increase in global economic uncertainty, we continued to work hard to guarantee our customers a quality product and at the same time respect the commitments made with our suppliers, banks and all the people who collaborate with our company.
We are satisfied with the results obtained and the recognitions we received, including the MF Award for
punctuality towards the banking system, the customer satisfaction index always at excellent levels and the various awards related to printing quality. In our internal organization we have made several changes, always by involving all people with moments of sharing, which is consistent with our vision of recognizing the value of people. We have also tried to represent this visually in a panel with the image of the faces of all our collaborators, that welcomes visitors at the entrance to our company.
In recent months we have intensified our efforts in our sustainability journey, creating a dedicated corporate team and focusing primarily on involving and directly listening to the requests of our stakeholders, to shape strategies to the local community, and at the same time committing ourselves to measuring our impacts.
These impacts have been measured both in environmental terms, with an analysis of the overall carbon footprint of our organization, and in social terms, with the detection
of possible impacts on the people who collaborate with
us internally and externally, and on the territory. This data therefore becomes essential to direct the improvement actions that are fundamental for the continuation of this course.
Ours is a family business whose management is now in its third generation, and the founder left us some essential values that guide our choices: Respect for People and the value we recognize in people, Reliability towards all those we come into contact with the importance of Change and Innovation and the search for solid and long-lasting Partnership relationships.
