Our history
Founded in 1967 by the Gava family who still holds 100% of the property and manages it, Cartotecnica Postumia SpA is a company based in Carmignano di Brenta whose primary aim is to take care of customers’ identity through design, printing and construction of customized paper packaging, specifically food bags and shopping bags.
We are a family business, founded in 1966 by Ettore Gava, a former manager of the Carmignano paper mill who, having reached retirement age, wanted to make the most of his knowledge in the paper industry by starting a new business at the age of almost 60.
Assisted by his children, Ettore focused on the production of paper packaging. The company has since developed over the last twenty years under the direction of Gabriele Gava, current majority shareholder and President of the company.
The company is still 100% owned by the Gava family, and is managed by the 3rd generation of the family.
With more than 55 years of experience in the market and thanks to high specialization in the paper packaging sector, we are currently one of the world’s leading producers of paper packaging for food, and an important player in the supply of paper shopping bags for retail.
