Material issues
As Cartotecnica Postumia S.p.A. we adhere to the “Federazione Carta e Grafica” (Paper Graphics Federation) of The General Confederation of Italian Industry, which has defined a Protocol for the Definition of the ESG Strategy, in collaboration with the Forum for Sustainable Finance and BDO.
As part of the Protocol, a simplified materiality analysis is proposed to members which facilitates the companies themselves in identifying the relevant ESG issues that must be managed, monitored and reported, as they are capable of reflecting their economic, environmental and social impacts or to influence the decisions of stakeholders.
We decided to carry out our materiality analysis, believing it relevant to listen directly to the relevant stakeholders.
The objectives of the materiality analysis were:
▶ Brief stakeholders of the sustainability journey that we have decided to undertake and which will lead us to become an increasingly sustainable, responsible and transparent company, with the drafting of a Sustainability Report and the transformation into a benefit company;
▶ Involve stakeholders in this process, listening to their point of view, in order to investigate ‘material’, i.e. relevant, sustainability issues for our company and to improve
the sustainability approach and performance, growing together according to a more sustainable business model.
